Everyone loves engagement stories, and nothing beats a good TV Show engagement story. Wether they are too good, too funny, or too touching to be true, they are always memorable. Here are our 4 favorite TV Engagements.

Green Acres Season 6 Episode 5
Ed proposes to Darlene and gives her a watch fob. Her father tells him do not back without a ring. Lisa gives Ed the $2000.00 engagement ring Oliver gave to her. Everyone is happy until Mr Wheeler has it appraised and it is only worth $8.00. Everyone is mad including Oliver because he paid $2000.00 for it. The engagement is off again until Lisa has a talk with Mr. Wheeler. Lisa admits to Oliver that she knew what it was worth before she married him. This used to be one of my favorite shows and watching this episode reminded me how funny it was.

Sex and the City Season 4 Episode 12
Aiden proposes to Carrie and gives her a beautiful emerald cut solitaire diamond ring n a platinum setting. She says yes but cannot wear it on her finger. Carrie tells Aiden she wants to wear the ring around her neck, closer to her heart. Watching this episode again reminded me of how much I wish Carrie would have chosen Aiden over Mr. Big.

Friends Season 6 Finale
Chandler gets down on one knee and proposes to Monica. He gives her a 3 stone setting ring with a princess cut center diamond and sapphire accents. Doing research for this episode, It amazes me how many people have used this same ring for their own engagement.

How I Met Your Mother Season 2 Episode 22
On their first date at a restaurant, Ted and Robin receive 2 glasses of complimentary champagne by mistake. Robin sees a ring in the bottom of her glass and thinks Ted is proposing. To her. The champagne is intended for a couple at another table. Watching this episode again reminds me why this show is still on the air.
