You’re taking that all-important walk down the aisle fairly soon, but this won’t be your first time. You were married once before, and things didn’t quite work out; however, you’re sure that you’ve found the love of your life this time. Before you ask all of the same family and friends to be in the bridal party, stop to think if that’s the best idea.
Having a large bridal party the second time around might not be the best plan. First of all, these individuals probably already spent a lot of money on your first wedding. Also, as people grow older, they tend to become less interested in bridal parties and more involved with their own lives. On top of that, you might be having a smaller wedding overall, especially if this is also your partner’s second marriage. A large wedding party could mean that a sizable chunk of your guests are in the bridal party.
On the other hand, some people love to be in bridal parties, and your family and friends might not have any problem with big weddings and wedding parties for second marriages. Also, since your first marriage, your group could have changed, and you might want to ask completely different people the second time around. Furthermore, some believe that the second marriage should not be skimped out on. You are truly planning to be with this person for the rest of your life, and you want to celebrate that.
Ultimately, whether or not you should have a large bridal party for your second wedding depends upon who you are, what you want and what type of wedding you are having. You can gauge what the reactions of your loved ones might be and factor that into the equation as well. While the decision is up to you and your partner to make, you don’t want people to feel as though they are forced into your bridal party either.About the Author:
